Allen B. Snyder

Allen B. Snyder, 81 of Newfield, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at home with his loving wife with him.

Allen was a man with a great heart. He was a volunteer with the Newfield Fire Department for over 50 years and employed at Cornell Life Safety for 41 years. Allen also was a volunteer for Cayuga Medical Center where he was so proud of the many hours he was able to help people.

A loving father, husband, and poppy, Allen is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharron; daughter, Deborah (Steve) Troy; son, Garry (Kimberly) Snyder; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kyle (Allissa) Snyder, Owen Snyder, Caleb Snyder, Karissa Snyder-Westcott, Kalani, Abbigayle (Brian) Theetge, Avarie Theetge, and Mia Theetge due in June of 2025, Kassandra (Tate) Mangiarelli, Addelyn Mangiarelli, Oliver Mangiarelli, and Greggory Troy; brother, Barry (Hollie) Snyder; and sister, Bonnie (Doug) Miller; along with several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Calling hours for Allen will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green Street, Ithaca. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
