Alyce S. Petrillose

Alyce S. Petrillose, 94, of Ithaca, passed away on December 30, 2016 at Oak Hill Manor. She was born Alice Marie Swanson in Clifford, North Dakota, the daughter of Augusta Turnquist and John Albin Swanson. The family moved to Minneapolis, MN when Alyce was a young girl. Eventually Alyce and her sister Irene left to live and work in Washington, DC. While in Washington, Alyce met her future husband, William J. Petrillose of Ithaca. She moved to Ithaca and they were married on July 4, 1951.

Alyce is survived by her four children: William J. Petrillose (Susan), Jacqueline Petrillose O'Connor, Cassandra Ann Petrillose, all of Ithaca, and Sherri Rose Petrillose Lipson (Andrew) of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by grandchildren: Christopher Petrillose; Kerri and Justin Petrillose; William, Richard, Stephen and Catherine O'Connor; and Samuel and Alexander Lipson as well as three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Alyce was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters, and her husband, William J. Petrillose, Sr..

A memorial service for Alyce Petrillose will be held on Saturday, January 07, 2017 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 149 Honness Lane, Ithaca, NY 14850 phone: (607) 273-9017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
