Amanda (St Denis) Vanhouten

Denis, Amanda St.Amanda St. Denis, 43, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Montclair, NJ and was a graduate of Montclair High School and Ithaca College. She had worked for the past 20 years as a police officer with the Ithaca Police Department. Amanda was a loving and dedicated mother who devoted her life to her sons, Tyler, Ryan and Carter. She is also survived by her mother, Melinda Jane Staniszewska; her father, Robert Keck (Jacqueline); brother, Rees Keck; sisters, Elizabeth Keck, Lucinda Keck and Samantha Jane Fortunato (Marc) and nephews and niece, Luke, Tara and Matthew. Friends may call on Saturday, September 14th from 12 noon until 2 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amanda's memory may be made to the St Denis / Mazzaraco Education Fund, c/o, Tompkins Trust Co., The Commons, Ithaca, NY 14850. Attn: Ursula Russ. The fund is being established to assist in the education of Amanda's children.
