Amandus "Mike" "Teets" Teeter

Amandus H. Teeter, (known as Mike Teeter & Teets) Mike Teeter died on Feb. 17th, 2021, exactly 1 week after his 93rd birthday. He served as a Mess Sgt. in the Army Reserves for over 30 years & retired as a Maintenance Mechanic at the Army Reserve Center in Ithaca, NY. He volunteered for Cornell sports for over 50 years, with Ice Hockey, Lacross & Football. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Grace Teeter. They dated for 4 years & were happily married for nearly 67. Mike was predeceased by 10 siblings. He is survived by 3 sisters, 2 children, & 4 grandchildren.  He loved playing guitar, harmonica, singing, bluegrass/country music, visiting friends at the Grand Ole Opry, Cornell sports, touring the country with his beautiful wife, being an awesome Grandpa & spending time with friends & family. He was inducted into both, the ECAC & Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame. On June 5th, there will be a private burial & celebration of life to follow.
