Betty Dechellis

Betty DeChellis October 22, 1923 – December 3, 2023
Betty DeChellis of Ithaca, aged 100, passed away on December 3 at her residence in McGraw
House in Ithaca. In October Betty enjoyed a 100th birthday party attended by family and friends
from throughout the years.
Betty, a lifelong resident of Ithaca, was a cook and server for many years at Ithaca’s Valley
House restaurant. She was well known for her cooking skills and will be remembered for the
many excellent meals she prepared for guests and family.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Vincent J. DeChellis. She is survived by her son, Vincent
F. and his wife Catherine, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is
her daughter Elisa DeRosier and her husband Roger, four grandchildren, eight great
grandchildren and six great great grandchildren
A prayer service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 16 at Bangs Funeral Home, 209
West Green Street, Ithaca with Deacon George Kozak officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
