Beverly Coon

Beverly Coon of Ithaca, New York passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband Donald of 67 years, her parents Adam and Leona Carman, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frederick and Marie (Farrell) Coon and Berta Coon, sisters Betty (Joe), Josephine (Walter), brothers Butch, Lyle, and Walter (Shirley). She is survived by her daughter Kim (Viktor) Ruebel, grandson Shawn Ruebel, and several nieces and nephews.

Beverly and Betty, along with their parents, were avid flea marketers and found many treasures for their families and to sell. She was a passionate reader, enjoyed traveling, and gambling, especially the penny machines.

Shortly after the loss of Donald, she moved into Longview Assisted Living. She enjoyed participating in the activities with her friends, especially Lorraine. She became close with two special staff members, Sue and Shawana.

Calling hours will be held at Bangs Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, 2026, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am with graveside services immediately following at Frear Memorial Park Cemetery.
