Obituary

Brenda Anne Baldwin Wallace passed away peacefully at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY, on April 14th following a brief illness. Born in Ithaca on March 23, 1941, Brenda was a graduate of Ithaca High School (1959) and Syracuse University (1964), and she completed graduate studies at Cornell University. Professionally, she was the sole proprietor of the Greyhound West End Bus Station for nearly 30 years until her retirement in 2018.Brenda was an active lifetime member of the Ithaca community. She was the longest-standing member of the Tompkins County Republican Party and a lifetime member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Additionally, she was a member of the Ithaca ROTARY, Chairwoman, Ithaca Chamber of Commerce and the Ithaca Country Club. Brenda passed away holding the hand of her husband of 54 years, David Wallace, surrounded by her extended families: Bortz, Cree, Diekow, Heath, Skibinski and Yaley families. She will be missed by her godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Claude and Katherine Baldwin, and her brothers, Robert and Bill. Donations in Brenda's honor may be made to the Ithaca SPCA. Calling Hours Sunday, April 19, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. .Bangs Funeral Home  Mass of Christian burial will be held on  Monday, April 20, 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Ithaca.  Interment Immediately following the mass at Pleasant Grove Cemetery
