Carol Babcock

ITHACA – Carol Wilson Babcock, 87, of Ithaca, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026. Born on September 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Glenola (Bower) Wilson. 

On June 29, 1957, she married the love of her life, Harold Babcock at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ithaca.

She worked as an office manager at Cornell University for 30 years. She spent her retirement years traveling on bus trips with her husband. More than anything, she cherished the time she shared with her family.

Survivors include, her children, Robert (Sharon) Babcock of Newfield, Kellie Babcock, Christopher of Elmira; her grandchildren, Ian Christopher (Kristina Vanderbilt), Shannara Babcock; and the Cappadonia and Wilson families.

Friends may join the family from 12-1pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Bangs Funeral Home, Inc, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Frear Memorial Park Cemetery in Ithaca, NY.
