Clara Camilli

Clara Camilli, 98, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026. She was a resident of Cayuga Nursing Rehabilitation Center for the past year and previously resided at Longview Assisted Living Center.

Clara graduated from high school at the age of 16 and began her career as an administrative assistant at Cornell University. After dedicating years to raising her children, she later worked for Emerson.

Clara loved spending time with her family and had a special place in her heart for dogs. She was bright, feisty, strong-willed, joyful, loving, and genuinely witty. She had a way of leaving a little bit of herself with everyone she touched, and she will be remembered for the unique spirit she brought to the lives of so many.

While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the incredibly full life Clara lived and for the privilege of knowing and loving her. The world has lost a truly extraordinary woman—one in a million—and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Clara was predeceased by her husband, John Camilli. She is survived by her three children, Robert Camilli, Kathryn King, and Barbara Camilli; her three grandchildren, Christopher King, Traci Pole, and Douglas Camilli; and her two great-grandchildren, Maddux Camilli and Luca Pole.

A private service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, at Bangs Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours.
