Clara H. Dale

Clara H. Dale, 100, of Ithaca, NY, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Saturday, October 3, 2026 after a brief illness.

Born August 12, 1926 in Ludlowville, NY she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes Gyalog Hancy. She grew up in Portland Point and was retired from Cornell University. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and did volunteer work with the Salvation Army. She was a very avid NY Yankees fan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Dale Sr. in 1990 and her sons, James A. Dale and Dennis A. Dale and son in law, Gary Lund. Clara is survived by her children Paul A. Jr. ”Tony” and Carolyn Dale of Hudson, N.C.; Thomas A. and Sandy Dale of Morganton, N.C. A daughter Gloria D. Lund of Ithaca. many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Calvary Cemetery, Ithaca.
