Conchetta "Connie" Capalongo

Conchetta “Connie” Capalongo, 76 of Ithaca passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026 at Cayuga Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Connie was born on July 8, 1949, to the late Enrico and Margaret Casano Capalongo.

Connie worked at Cornell University and privately as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Eagles Club. Connie thoroughly enjoyed gardening, caring for her house plants and spending time cuddled up with a book and her beloved feline companion Mellow.

Connie is survived by her sisters: Mary (Capalongo) Miller of Syracuse, Adriana (Capalongo) Green of Weedsport, numerous nieces & nephews, several cousins and a large circle of loving friends throughout the Ithaca area.

In addition to his parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Henry, Victor, Anthony, Peter, Fred, John and Vincenzo.

At Connie’s request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
