Corlyse "Corky" Ann M. Nazer August 16, 1950 – September 17, 2026

Corlyse "Corky" Ann M. Nazer, born August 16, 1950, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2026, at Cayuga Medical Center at the age of 76.

Corky was the daughter of the late Anna Percy. She trained as a cosmetologist and later built a career in public service, working as an administrative assistant at Cornell University and as a court clerk for the City of Ithaca. She and her husband, David, shared 50 years of marriage and raised two sons together.

She loved a good book, a steady eye on the Weather Channel, and her plants. Her companions Bodie the dog, Boomer the cat, and Frank the turtle will miss her dearly.

Corky is survived by her husband, David Nazer; her sons, Michael (Janice) and Christopher (Claire) Nazer; her granddaughter, Hannah; her sisters, Joy, Lila, Ida, and Gail; and her brothers, Sonny and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Percy, and her sisters, Elizabeth and Charlene.

Visitation will be held at Bangs Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 24, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 113 North Geneva Street, Ithaca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New York
