Dianne L. Berggren

Dianne L. Berggren, seamstress, 74, of Newfield, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born and raised in Elmira, NY on January 19, 1948 to Floyd Jr. and Deborah Travis.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William R. Berggren, her sister, Doreen K (Gene) Lawrence and brother Kenny J. (Sue) Travis.

Dianne cherished her girls; Marie (Jon) Brewster and Anndrea (Joel) Bill. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren; Cortney (Jon) Leonard, Cody Monroe, Mya Brewster, Randy, Hayden and Addison Bill. As well as her great-grandchildren; Odin and Lucas Leonard.

Dianne loved having her hands in the soil. She loved her trees and flowers. She was an avid animal lover. Any stray animal that came to her front door, she would care for and love as if it was her own. Although her favorite color was blue, she loved having a shade of red or pink on her nails.

Dianne had a joyous soul; strong like a bull but sweet and gentle like a butterfly. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was profound; she'd drop her sewing needle for them. Her big heart, beautiful smile, contagious laughs, sense of humor and feistiness will be missed dearly.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green Street, Ithaca, NY.  Burial will be held privately.
