Donald J. Ridley

Donald J. Ridley, 83, of Lansing NY, died Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was born in Ithaca July 17, 1937, son of the late Paul and Marion Smith Ridley.

Don served as president of Ridley’s Book Bindery until its closing on December 31, 2010. He had succeeded his father as president of the longtime local business. He enjoyed family gatherings, boating and working on binding his books.

Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marian M. Ridley; his children, Eric Ridley (Robin), Brian Ridley (Mary), Scott Ridley (Sandy) and Melissa Ridley (Steve Oplinger); his ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and his brother, Doug Ridley. His laughter, sense of humor and love for family will be missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with Don’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
