Dorothy Jane Burke passed away on September 2nd, 2026 in Ithaca, NY. The daughter of the late Richard and Susan Read Parr in Ithaca on February 16th, 1936. As an Ithaca local she decided to raise her own children in her hometown. She was a homemaker to her husband, of 70 years, Carl Burke. Where they raised three children, and helped with their grandchildren.

She is survived by: her husband Carl A. Burke, their sons: Carl  R. Burke , Steven Burke, her grandchildren Levi, Paul, and Tyler Burke. She is also survived by two sisters; Evelyn Schultz and Audrey Pizzo. She is predeceased by her parents,  son; Anthony Martin Burke, siblings, Ruth Turri, Eunice, Richard and Thomas Parr.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at Bangs Funeral Home from 4-6pm with prayer service to follow at 6pm.
