O'Dell, Dorothy E.

Dorothy E. O'Dell, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cayuga Ridge. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Harry and Neva Foote O'Dell. Dorothy was retired from Cornell University where she had worked for many years and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Dorothy is survived by her long time friend and caregiver, Margaret "Marge" Amato; her brothers, Charles O'Dell and his friend, Theresa and Paul O'Dell (Juanita); his sister, Frances Sharp; brother, Jim O'Dell (Tina); and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14th at 10 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church with entombment to follow at the Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Friends may call at the church prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
