Evelyn “Lyn” Rose Curtis Aiosa born April 15, 1936 and died February 18, 2026 at her home in Weston, WV surrounded by love. She is predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Vincent Aiosa Jr., her parents Henry and Ella Curtis, her sister Jean and brother in law Ernie Shipper, sister in law and brother in law Rosalie and Bill Fitzgerald.Lyn was a graduate from Portville High School class of 1954 and Fredonia Teaching College class of 1958 (now SUNY Fredonia). She was an elementary teacher, a substitute teacher, Sunday School teacher, artist, writer, author, gardener, friend, mom, mother in law, Grammie, and a Gigi. She is survived by daughter Kathy Thomas and son Jeff (Nettie) Aiosa, her grandchildren she cherished Trisha Thomas, Chelsea (Jeremy Liss) Aiosa, Donald (Leah Tyrrell) Thomas, Katherine (Robert Jr.) Groff, Zachary (DanaMarie Lanuti) Aiosa, Michelena Aiosa, and her two great grandsons Odin and Woodland. Along with her sister Linda Vidler and brother Lee (Suzanne) Curtis and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Danby Federated Church in Danby, NY, Elmgrove UMC in Rochester, NY, and attended St. Matthew UMC in Weston, WV. Her faith was strong and is now in heaven with God and her loved ones that have gone before. Please join the family at a Memorial Service held May 30, 2026 at Danby Community Church in Danby, NY.
