Frank Ratkoski passed away on August 3rd. He was pre-deceased by his parents Ed & Alice Ratkoski and his brother Michael Ratkoski.

Frank brought warmth, humor, and connection everywhere he went. He never forgot a face, and loved making people laugh. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, whether through a phone call, a joke, or simply his excitement at seeing them. Frank worked many jobs through Challenge Industries and deeply valued his independence. He especially enjoyed working at Ithaca College (otherwise known as Land of Unlimited Chicken Tenders), living on his own, caring for his cats Buddy & Buddy Junior, spending time with friends and his found family, and going on adventures, including trips to Bills & Yankees games and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Those who knew Frank will remember his authenticity, kindness, appetite, stubborn streak, and goofball humor. He was unafraid to love people openly and treasured the kindness of others. He will be missed most by his bestie Kerry, who is so grateful for the joy, honesty, and friendship he brought into her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Unity House, who cared for him in countless essential ways; Challenge Industries, who helped him feel productive and valued; or Tulip Travel, who created some of his most memorable adventures, would honor Frank's memory and help others like him live their own best lives. A memorial event will take place at Taughannock State Park in the Creekside Shelter Pavilion on Sunday August 9th at 2pm. Private burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
