Herbert I. White

Herbert I White (87) of Newfield New York passed away peacefully in his sleep January 7,2026. Born November 8, 1938 in Fort Fairfield, Maine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda his daughters, Ellen, (Walter) Stiering Lisa (Jason) June his grandchildren Paige, Devon, Keith, Leah, Maddie and Nick. He was predeceased by his parents Mungo and Eva (Hill) White siblings, Reginald, Mona Louisa, and David. He is survived by his brother James (Joanne)White of Churchville, New York. His nephew John, (Harry)also of Churchville, New York. He’s also survived by many friends and family members.

He retired from the Cortland county sheriffs department as deputy and corrections officer. Herb was loving family man. He loved his children and his grandchildren. They were the apple of his eye.

Services will be 1 PM Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Reigning Miracle Ministries, 2910 Douglas Rd., Cortland, NY 13045
