Jeannette Elaine Roman

It is with deep love and fond memories that we announce the passing of Jeanette Elaine Roman, 78, of Ithaca, on March 9, 2026. She was born in Ithaca, NY on September 29, 1947 to the late Robert H Bennett and Adella Douglas. She lived in Ithaca her entire life and worked part time at Target, which she loved and had so many friends that was created for the years she was there. She lived life with an open heart and a joyful spirit. She was known for her infectious laughter and generous soul. Her love and laughter will live on in our hearts forever. Jeannette has been married to Ronald Roman since 1993. She’s survived by her son Kenneth (Tammie) Bennett, Darryl (Marcy) Rivers. Grandchildren: Ashley, Brandon and Victoria Swansbrough, Kenneth R, Joshua and Kennedy Bennett, Tyler and Lisa Rivers, David JR and Mara Rivers, and many great grandchildren who she adored and loved every one of them so very much. Each grandchild had a special place in her heart. She is predeceased by her parents Robert H. Bennett and Adella Douglas, her daughter Lisa Swansbrough, Son David Rivers SR, sister Christine Bennett and brother Robert H. Bennett JR. Forever in our hearts and cherished by all who knew her. Rest in peace and God speed. Calling Hours with a service will be on Friday March 13, 2026 from 10am-12pm at Bangs Funeral Home.
