Jonathan C. Mosher

Jonathan C Mosher passed away in his home on June 6, 2025. He had many names - Jon, JC, Pup, Uncle Jon, Dad, but his favorite was Grampy. Jon was born on September 5, 1960, to Carl and Barbara Mosher, of Danby, New York. Jon grew up on the Mosher farm in Danby with his parents and four sisters. He enlisted in the Army when he was 19 years old and served for three years. Jon met his wife Donna at square dancing, and they married on April 30, 1988. In 1990, their daughter, Elizabeth, was born, and Jon started the Baby Blue Trucking business with his best friend, Rick Grover. Jon loved his family, and his community. He worked at Cornell for over 30 years, was one of the founding members of the Dryden Caroline Drifters Snowmobile Club, and an active member of the Danby Pirates Club, American Legion, VFW Ritual Team, Eagles, and the Moose Lodge. Jon enjoyed fishing trips with his son-in-law, Dan, hunting, golfing, playing pool and euchre, and spending time with his friends and family.

Jon was predeceased by his father, Carl Mosher, father-in-law, Robert Kelley, brothers- in-law Fred Kelley, Jim Linton, Steve Kelley, sister-in-law Nancy Kelley, and great-nephew Anthony Severtson. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Mosher, wife of 37 years, Donna Mosher, daughter, Elizabeth (Daniel) Saracino, granddaughter Riley Saracino, sisters Linda (Jim) Sczepanski, Mary Linton, Cindy (Lynn) Westmiller, Susan Cobb, brothers-in-law Bob (Kathy) Kelley, Gary Kelley, sisters-in-law Sarah (Mike) Thomas, Julie Kelley, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jon’s life will be held at noon on Saturday July 26, 2025, at the Danby Pirates Club. The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors that have provided so much support.
