Joseph R. Cardonia, Jr.

Joseph R. Cardonia Jr. 59 of Groton, NY, died Friday December 28, 2012 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Ithaca, NY son of the late Joseph R. and Gracia Sherman Cardonia. Joe for the last few years worked for the William George Agency in Dryden, prior to that he owned and operated the Modern Shoe Repair in Penn Yan for 20 years. Joe was also active in Motor Cycle Clubs both local and long distance. Survivors include sisters, Candice (Sal) Janke, Monica (Michael) Conklin and Pamela (Mark) Nicholson; nieces, Samantha, Erin, Jennie and Natalie. Graveside services at Calvary Cemetery will be announced at a later date, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to S.P.C.A. of Tompkins County. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
