Joyce E. Sharpsteen was born on 04/04/1939 in Homer, NY to Julia and Harry Youngs. She left us peaceably after a battle with cancer on 12/06/2023 at the age of 84.
The two sons who predeceased her was Daniel Carrier and Bruce Carrier. She is survived by her husband, Jaime Sharpsteen of Texas; daughter, Barbara (Bryan) of Freeville, NY; son's, Brian Carrier (Rosemary) of Newfield, NY; Leonard Carrier (Wanda) of Virginia; and Donald Carrier (Heather) of Freeville, NY. Also grandchildren Aubrey, Michael, Tori, Tyler, Jordan, James, Brian and Jessica. Along with several great great grandchildren.
She retired from working at Hills Department Store. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite hobbies were collecting Indian dolls and stuffed tigers. She also collected movies and loved Christmas and Christmas decorations.
She will be sadly missed by those that knew her.
A celebration of life will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
