Kathleen M. Hall

Kathleen M. Hall passed away peacefully Monday, May 12, 2025 at the wonderful age of 102.

She was the oldest child of Michael and Jean Quinlan of North Bergen, NJ. One of seven

children, she outlived all her siblings. She married Donald Hall on January 16,1943 in Los

Angeles California. He was the boy next door but was posted in California in the Army. Wartime

arrangements were made, and she traveled by train on her own across the country for the

wedding.

She had studied voice for many years, but did not pursue a professional career. Rather she

sang for her church and country. During WWII she sang the National Anthem at various

functions in Hudson County, New Jersey where she was raised. She was often requested to

sing the Ave Maria and Panis Angelicus at many weddings and funerals. She enjoyed

participating in musical presentations at Kendal.

Kathleen worked as a book keeper and secretary, mostly at Paramus Catholic High School,

where she ran a tight ship, keeping (The Brothers / front office / teachers ) well organized and

on their toes. She also had a command of numbers and could identify and fix deeply buried

accounting errors with a glance. One of her accomplishments while there was to arrange a first

date between a young math teacher and her daughter; the couple was married for fifty three

years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and son-in-law, Allan. She is survived by her

daughter, Denise Lentini, grandsons and their spouses Marc Lentini (Maura), Matthew Lentini

(Daniel Kopsak), and Paul Lentini (Tamara), great-grandchildren Kevin and Jane Lentini, and

many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 28,2025 at 11:00AM at St. Catherine of

Siena, 309 Siena Dr. Ithaca, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kendal at Ithaca

Employee Appreciation Fund 2230 North Triphammer Rd., Ithaca NY 14850 or Catholic
