Laurence P. "Larry" Eannetta

Laurence P. "Larry" Eannetta, 90, a resident of Longview, Ithaca, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 07, 2018. He was born in Geneva, NY, son of the late John and Philomena Eannetta.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and had attended Ithaca College where he majored in physical education and was a member of one of the college's first lacrosse teams. He was a longtime employee of New York State Electric & Gas and was a member of their 25 year club. He was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Larry always lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Jim) Clingensmith and Marcia Eannetta and grandchildren, Adam and Brendon Clingensmith, Mike Matychak and Theresa Eannetta. He is also survived by his brother, William Eannetta and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Larry was also predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Eannetta; his son, Jim Eannetta; granddaughter, Courtney Clingensmith and his longtime companion, Helen Nabinger.

A Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, April 13. 2018 at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at the Willow Glen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be made to Ithaca Youth Lacrosse, 114 E. Lincoln St., Ithaca, NY 14850 Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
