Lois Ann Parente, 81, of Newfield, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Lyndon and Madelyn Wurtzel Harris.
Lois had worked in the office of Dr. Ralph Bishop for over 30 years and had also waitressed at the Lehigh Valley House for over 30 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Lois is survived by her children, Susan Morgan (Gordie), Kathleen Zavaski, Joseph Zavaski (Donna) and Timothy Zavaski (Amy) and her six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Bud Harris (Donna) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Betty and June.
Funeral services will be celebrated by Glen Carlson on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Frear Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois' memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to the charity of one's choice.
