Lorie (Farugie) Harken

Lorie Harken, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away in Cleveland, OH on October 16, 2026, and went into the arms of Jesus. 

She was born in Ithaca, NY on October 17, 1962 to Angelo and Jean Farugie. Lorie was a mother first, and her children meant everything to her. She spent time singing classical opera and also worked as a Clinical Researcher. Lorie performed many years as a soloist and participated with opera companies and vocal competitions. She was spotlighted in various T.V. and radio programs. In her younger days, she was a competitive skier, tennis player and field hockey coach.

She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Harken, of which they spent 39 years together. Also, surviving are her children Kamron Fazel (Katherine), Tim Harken (Torree), Abigail Harken, and her grandchildren Kam Fazel and Logan Fazel. Additional survivors include her devoted loving sister, Sharon Farugie, her Aunt Shirley Sales, and many cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on November 2, 2026 from 10:30-12:00 at Bangs Funeral Home in Ithaca, NY, followed by a burial in Calvary Cemetery.
