Jarrett, Madelyn J.

Ithaca: Madelyn J. Jarrett, of Ithaca, formerly of Syracuse, died on September 2, 2012 at the age of 99. She was born on November 17, 1912. She is survived by her son, Lagrange (Larry) Jarrett of Buena, NJ; and her grandchildren: Douglas Evans (Atlanta, GA), Craig Evans (Ithaca), Janice Evans (Geneva), Noreen Luckette (Syracuse), Susan Raspitha (Syracuse), and Kathy Dinterman (Palm Bay, FL). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester Jarrett; and her daughter, Nadeen Evans Cheevers. She lived most of her life in Syracuse, NY, and worked in the office of the Syracuse Chief of Police. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Daughters of the Nile. There was a private burial service held at Valley Cemetery in Syracuse on September 6, 2012.
