One of the most gentle, selfless persons to walk the face of the Earth ended her valiant battle with cancer October 17, 2012. A self-made woman, she overcame immense obstacles in achieving an education that enabled her to serve her husband, children, various employers, and everyone she came in contact with. Foremost, she loved her Lord to whom she gave credit for everything she was. A long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frederick, and sons James and Michael. Calling hours will be Saturday, October 20th from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, October 21st at 3 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Pastor Michael Paris officiating. Private buriel will be at the convenience of the family. Bangs Funeral Home and her church will be in charge of arrangements.
