Marilyn Moravec

Marilyn Moravec, 69, of 798 South Plain St. Ithaca, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Dayton, OH. daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Dunwoody Munro and was the widow of Gary Moravec (02/27/1993).

Marilyn was a nurse in Tompkins County for many years. She was a long time supporter of the Ithaca High School Basketball program, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Eagles Club and Cornell Ornithology club.

Survivors include sons, Chris (Lyndsey) Sidle and Jason (Melisa) Sidle; daughter, Jill (Russell) French; grandchildren, Michael, Rylee, Joshua, Aidan, Austin, Charlie James, Obi, Nneka, Damon, Cody and Connor; ,sister, Margaret (Peter) Lauria and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marsha M. Brown.

Friends may call Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Bangs Funeral Home. Private Burial services with Pastor Eric Hause will be held Thursday at the Fairview Cemetery in Sheldrake, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cayuga Ridge Sunshine Fund, 1229 Trumansburg Rd. Ithaca, NY.
