Mary P. Bordoni, 84, formerly of Richard Pl., Ithaca, NY, passed away on November 11, 20114 at the Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Gaetano and Teresa Sacca Pallonari and was the widow of Ralph C. Bordoni, who died March 29, 2014.
Mary was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School and was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She worked at Cornell University until 1953 when she was stricken with polio.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mary is survived by her three children, Karen (Mark) Keller, Mary (Randy) Johnston and Dan (Dianne) Bordoni; her grandchildren, Bryan, Kristin, Kevin, Brianna, Dan, Caitlin and Chris, as well as her great grandchildren, Damon, Lyla, Annalin, Timothy, Cari and Paige. She is also survived by her brother, Rocco Longo; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna and Dave Nedrow; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Camillo and Mary Ellen Bordoni and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Polio took away Mary's ability to walk but she stood strong in her faith and was a pillar of strength to her family. She always put her faith and trust in God. Never questioning what he had in store for her. Her bond with Ralph was apparent to all as was her devotion to her family. Before polio, Mary loved to dance. We know she is now dancing in Ralph's arms.
The family will be forever grateful to Oak Hill Manor for their loving care.
