Peter Brellochs

Peter Brellochs, age 88, passed away on July 2nd, 2025, in Ithaca, New York. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the son of the late Walter and Helene Brellochs. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Jacqueline Klune Brellochs, as well as their sons Christopher Brellochs of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Gregory Brellochs of Philadelphia, PA. Peter also leaves behind his sister, Christel Brellochs of New York City, and two grandchildren, Emma Brellochs and Max Brellochs.

Peter came to the United States in 1954 to work for his sponsor as a farmhand in Jeffersonville, NY. He subsequently graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1955 and Cornell University with a degree in Architecture (Class of 1959). He served as a surveyor in the artillery of the U.S. Army for two years before joining the Ithaca architectural firm of Tallman and Tallman Architects in 1962, which eventually became Thomas Associates, where he became a partner. Peter served on the Dryden Zoning Board of Appeals, Tompkins County Chapter of the Red Cross, Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Club, and Rotary District 7170. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the “Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Club” c/o M&T Bank, Ithaca, NY.
