Rebecca I. “Becky” Smith, 97 of Ithaca, passed away June 6, 2023 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born January 17, 1926 in the Town of Dryden, NY she was one of nine children born to the late George H. and Suzie Martin Smith. Becky was a cook at Cornell University for many years prior to her retirement. She was much loved by all the students she would serve. She was also an avid bird watcher.
Becky is survived by her sister, Virginia “Ginny” Hine of Newfield; brothers, Bernard Smith of Florida and Richard Smith of Cortland; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Jean Webber, Donald Smith, Thelma Larson, George Smith and Beverly Larson.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
