Robert Edward (Bob) Musal

Robert (Bob) Musal, 81, of Horseheads, NY and formerly of Ithaca, passed away on Christmas Day 2016. He was born May 05, 1935 in Newark, NJ to the late Ruth and Edward Musal. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Russell and younger sister, Lois Bender. He is survived by his sons, Kip Musal of St. Petersburg, FL and Matt (Christine) Musal of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Upon his retirement from Hi-Speed Checkweigher in Ithaca he married the love of his life, Anna Marie Amoroso (who passed away July 19, 2015). After 18 years Bob and his "Princess" relocated to Horseheads, NY.

In addition to his sons he leaves behind a warm and loving family of Anna Marie's which includes; Grace and Randy Fergus, and Darlene and John Burgess all of Horseheads and Bonnie and Tom Wayne of Clifton Park, NY; five grandchildren, Christopher Burgess, Alisa (Kevin) Price, Lexi Burgess, Tiffany Wayne and Taryn (Scott) Shelton and five great grandchildren.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion Ithaca Post 0221. He was also an active member of the Ithaca Elks Lodge where he was a Past Exalted Ruler and had served as Lodge Secretary for 10 years.

In keeping with Bob's wishes there will be no public services. Private services will be held at the Bangs Funeral Home followed by interment at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central New York, alz.org/centralnewyork.
