Rosemary Centini

Rosemary Centini, 94, of Ithaca, NY passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born June 18, 1931 in Akron, NY she was the daughter of the late John W. and Florence Swift Richards and wife of the late Joseph L. Centini who passed away August 12, 2004. Rosemary graduated valedictorian from Georgetown High School in Delaware and on December 17, 1949 she married Joseph L. Centini in Ithaca. She and Joe operated the Coddington Restaurant for over 25 years.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Joanne Centini, Joseph (Susan) Centini Jr., Angela Oxford and Luciano (Janet) Centini; grandchildren, Alison Beach, Aaron Beach, Michael Centini, Joshua Oxford, Jenna Centini and Gregory Centini; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition, she was predeceased by her daughter, Linda; grandson, Jeffrey Centini; granddaughter, Jessica Oxford; brother, John; sister, Sylvia Benedict and son in law, Gerald Oxford.

A Private Prayer Service will be held at Bangs Funeral Home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Cayuga Ridge for 13 years of compassionate care given to Rosemary.
