Sheila Marie (Burns) Kyle

Sheila Marie (Burns) Kyle, born September 17, 1950 in Binghamton, NY died peacefully in her sleep on November 9, 2023. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend to many. She loved art, music, and kids, many of whom she taught as a public school teacher in Ithaca.  She is survived by her husband Steven Kyle, children Gabriel (Luz) and Eamonn McCarthy, stepchildren Hannah (Panango) and Jay Kyle (in spirit), grandchildren Kije and Doris McCarthy, and her loving siblings, Bobby, Patrick, Johnny, Joe, Tommy, Marie, Jean, Anne, Dan, Vince and Terry. Sheila is the daughter of and predeceased by John J. Burns and Teresa McMahon Burns A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17 at 2:30pm at the Unitarian Church in Ithaca, NY on the corner of Buffalo and North Aurora Street.
