Sheila Schachere

Sheila Schachere died peacefully in her sleep on December 19, 2012, at the age of 87, at Bridges Cornell Heights. She was married for 54 years to Leon Schachere, was the loving mother of Karen and Michael (deceased), mother-in-law of Philip McMichael and Marleen Schachere, and grandmother of Rachel and Jonathan McMichael and Max Schachere. A native of New York City, Sheila was a lover of the arts and an accomplished painter, printmaker, and quilter. Private funeral and burial. Shiva observed on Friday and Saturday evening, 6.30-8.30 pm. Memorial gifts to Family and Children's Service of Ithaca.
