Stephen I. Hubble

Stephen I. Hubble, 86, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Beechtree Care Center. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Sylvester and Catherine Inman Hubble.

Steve was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from John Lowery Construction where he had worked for many years. He was a member of The Carpenters Union and had previously been a member of the Lathers Union. He was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a life member of VFW Post #961. Steve was always a very humble, hardworking man who always put the needs of others before his own.

A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Steve is survived by his wife of 59 years, Filomena Grassi Hubble; his children, Maria (Vincent) Hubble Colleyacme, Angela (Mario) Hubble Personius, Stephen I. (Lorna) Hubble, Jr. and Regina (Bob Baliva) Hubble and his grandchildren, Mark (Mona Abdi) Colleyacme, Joshua Hubble and Danielle (Piyush) Gupta. He is also survived by his sisters, Ruth McMillan and Iva Shiota and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Steve was also predeceased by several siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial with military honors follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home.
