Terry L. Ecker

Terry L. Ecker, 70, passed away Monday, December 22 at Cayuga Medical Center. Terry was born on November 30, 1955 in Ithaca, to John and Jeannette (Shraiy-Mahool) Ecker.

Terry attended Immaculate Conception School through 8th Grade, and graduated from Ithaca High School in 1974.

Joined the United States Marine Corps in 1974 before receiving an honorable discharge. Terry was an extremely hard worker, dedicating 15 years of his life to his career as a machinist which included companies such as Therm Inc., Axiom Inc., Stork H&E and Evaporated Metal Film.

Terry had a great sense of humor, always displaying a kind and gentle touch. He was extremely outgoing and loving. He loved playing softball with his brothers, bowling, Fishing, and spending time with his family and his grandchildren, and watching sports especially Sunday football.

Terry is survived by his Mother, Jeanette Ecker; Brothers: John (MaryJo) Ecker, Twin brother Garry Ecker, Jeffrey (Jill) Ecker; Sons: Timothy (Erika) Ecker and, Marcus (Danielle) Kastenhuber; Grandchildren: Kylee, Karter, Gianna, Marcelo and Jaiden. And several nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his father, John (Hauncey) Ecker and nephew, Matthew T Ecker.

Calling hours will be held on December 29th from 2-3pm at Bangs Funeral Home with a memorial service with Military honors at 3pm. A celebration of life will be held  at the VFW in Ithaca located on 423 W state street Ithaca, NY from 4pm-7pm Monday December 29th, 2025.
