Christopher Mark Bilyk

Christopher Mark Bilyk, age 36, passed away on November 17, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY as the result of injuries suffered in a car accident. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Kas Bilyk and his brother Matthew Bilyk; several aunts and uncles including Mike and Dorothy Bilyk, Joan and Clay Haddock, Kurt and Carol Komaromi and Lori and Merritt Cash; cousins include Michael, Nicholas, and David Bilyk; Justin and Brad Richardson-Bilyk; Suzanne (Jared) Nash; Katy and David Komaromi; Christine (Brett Henderson) Cash and Alexandra (Dillon McKenzie-Veal) Cash; and his beloved cat Gabbana. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Sara Komaromi and Mike and Monica Bilyk. Chris grew up in Ithaca, NY and graduated from Ithaca High School. He was an accomplished baseball player and pitched for Ithaca High along with the Babe Ruth and Ithaca Legion teams. Chris earned a baseball scholarship at LeMoyne College and later attended Cortland State University where he pitched for the Red Dragons team. After college, he worked for Perfect Screen Printers and was very active in the Ithaca City Softball League. He was an avid snowboarder and was a whiz at working on computers. He had a great sense of humor and a passion for life. There will be a gravesite service on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Calvary Cemetery located on 5 Mile Drive. Friends are welcome to join the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ithaca SPCA.
