Gus (aka Bear) who was born 3-14-41 to Emil and Josephine Eframson in Ithaca, NY has gone to be with his past loved ones in heaven on 5-8-22.
His survivors include: Daughters - Amy Augustine (John), Lori Eframson (Kathy), Sister – Doris Perialas, Wife of 30 years – Sally Eframson, Nephew – Alex Perialas (Kristina), Nieces – Valerie Perialas (Jenn), Lisa Dougherty, Grandchildren – Antonio Ruta, Michael Ruta, Courtney Eframson, Mark Eframson, Joseph Eframson, 4 Great Grandchildren, along with many close friends.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his second wife – Paulette Eframson, son - John Eframson, sister - Marie Dougherty, Brother-In-Law – John Perialas and Niece - JoLynn Dougherty.
Gus started out his young life with his guitar in hand and his first wife, Sally, by his side as a musician with Bobby Comstock and the Counts. Then as owner and operator of Bear Electric for many years as they raised their 3 children. Gus loved his family and friends very deeply. Always helping when he could, lending support when needed and throwing many holiday parties and events.
His love for music and the New York City life was infectious. He would always relish in an opportunity to take anyone on a trip for sightseeing, a baseball game, fine dining and a jazz club.
Gus enjoyed wood working and developed a passion for designing and building guitars, toy trucks for his grandchildren, furniture and lawn ornaments for family and friends.
After spending many winters in Florida, he retired and enjoyed to travel along with his wife, Paulette, until her death in 2017. In 2020 he moved to Florida full time to enjoy the sunshine and warmth.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, June 4th at 1pm for a small ceremony to be officiate by the Immaculate Conception Church.
